  • Motion made to accept by Robert Bushor and seconded by Jim Howard
  • All in favor, aye, passed

SECRETARY REPORT

I was unable to meet with Senator Chris Dush in Lock Haven because the State Ethics Committee investigator was scheduled to visit that day. Although the visit was rescheduled at the last minute, the investigator arrived last Tuesday.

I presented the supervisors with the proposed subdivision for Larue Swank’s property. The plan would transfer a portion of Swank’s land to the camp adjoining the property. The supervisors had no concerns and recommended that the County Commissioners approve the subdivision.

Robert Bushor’s signature is needed on the auditors’ engagement letter so they can begin the 2025 audit.

ROADMASTER REPORT

Robert and Mike cleared debris from the roads. Jim Howard will take the skid steer in for maintenance, then bring back the mower to test whether it will meet our roadside mowing needs.

Jim and Tim will finish cleaning the culverts and install reflective markers. They will also trim and spray weeds around the culverts to prevent regrowth. In addition, some tree limbs will need to be removed from the ditches.

Would like to tar -n – chip the Jerry Run Road prior to where the DSA material starts, the on and off ramps of the bridges on Jerry Run Road to help seal them up and keep water from running off and causing erosion.

A motion was made by Jim Howard and seconded by Robert Bushor to apply for County aid to help cover the cost of Crack sealing the roads.  All present in favor, motion carried.

PARK REPORT

The SVFD used the park May 2 for their Sportsman Bash and there was an issue with so many people using the restrooms and the water running out, so it will be advised that any organizations rent the ball field that they have port a johns brought in.

Jim would like to get the current outhouse pumped, then shut up and used for maybe storage.  He also would like to see some appliances bought for the kitchen, as well as new cupboards and sink installed.

BUSINESS

A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Jim Howard to pay bills as presented.  Motion carried unanimously.

Next regular meeting will be held on July 8,2026, starting at 5:00 at Grove Township building.

Public Comment

Penn Stone Paving was here to talk about the work they did for us and the work and quotes for crack sealing, they would like to become our go-to contractor for Road maintenance.

Elizabeth asked if we knew where the septic tank is located at the park.

Dale asked about the blighted properties and the status of efforts to have them cleaned up. He also noted that the trailer in the weeds on Anglers Path is still there. Brandie will contact those property owners, as well as the gentleman on Wykoff Run Road.

He asked who was responsible for inspecting the work performed on Jericho Road—the Township or Conservation.

Dale would like the section where Ball Road becomes a private road added to the tar-and-chip list.

Dale also asked how much Penn Stone Paving charged for the job they just completed. The cost was $25.00 per square yard.

The motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Jim Howard to adjourn the May 13, 2026, meeting at 5:10. Motion was carried unanimously.
