SECRETARY REPORT
I sent an email to Janet Caldwell about her blight property. Here is her response to the email,
To Grove Township Supervisors,
Since we received your letter last year, we have been working on cleaning out the inside of the camp when time permits in preparation for either demolition or fixing it up. We plan on doing outside work when the weather breaks in spring/summertime. Sincerely, Janet M. Colwell
I contacted Paul Malizia’ office regarding the research necessary to identify the owners of Wyside Cemetery. The original map of the cemetery lists several individuals with the surname Barclay as owners, each of whom must be investigated. This task is beyond my current expertise.
We received a donation request from Cameron County Ambulance. It was decided to table this until the next meeting when Jim Howard can attend.
The 18th annual equipment show, and training day will be held on May 28th from 9-3 at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. Registration is due by May 5th. Brandie will attend to participate in Terri Cunkle’s internal controls training. Melvin Kehl may also attend, but he has not decided yet.
House Bill 308 would extend OSHA workplace requirements to municipalities and nonprofits in Pennsylvania. PSATS urges municipalities to join the advocacy network and oppose these federal mandates. These rules would force townships to comply with federal regulations, involving bureaucrats funded by fines for non-compliance. Additionally, volunteer fire departments and EMS providers would be affected, exacerbating the crisis in those services.
Robert Bushor asked me to review the Supervisors’ raise passed in December. The new code in the 2nd Class Township Code Supplement states that raises must be made by Ordinance. Only newly elected Supervisors after the Ordinance is passed will receive a raise, resulting in different pay rates until all positions are reelected.
Upcoming events:
• Spring large item clean up: Saturday, March 29th, 9-4. Melvin Kehl and Emmerson will be working.
• Easter Egg hunt: April 19th, registration starts at 9:30.

ROADMASTER REPORT
Robert Bushor and Mike Saline cleared trees and limbs from the roads after windstorms. Some large debris requires Melvin Kehl and a backhoe for removal. Dale Wood noted a large tree in the ditch on Ball Road, which Darrell Viola had cut up to clear the road.
BUSINESS
There was none.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Dale Wood inquired about the log trucks on 3 Runs Road. Brandie reported that Emporium Hardwoods holds a bond on that road. Melvin Kehl stated that he would inspect the condition of the road personally.
John, who lives on Logue Run Rd, asked about a job at the Township but was told nothing was available and to talk to Gibson. He hasn’t come in for an application, so I told Dale to advise him to fill one out.
Dale requested the profit and loss report for plowing Driftwood and Gibson Roads. Brandie said she will prepare it.
Dale asked if any grants had been applied for to replace the Township building.
PAY BILLS AS PRESENTED
