GROVE TOWNSHIP MONTHLY MEETING
March 11, 2026
March 11, 2026, meeting was called to order at 5.00pm
Present: Brandie Sherry, Melvin Kehl, Robert Bushor, Jim Howard via zoom

APPROVAL OF February TREASURER’S REPORT

SECRETARY REPORT
The Sinnamahoning Sportsman Club requested use of the park parking lot for overflow during the Snake Hunt weekend; Robert Bushor moved to approve, Melvin Kehl seconded, all voted aye, motion passed.
PA 811 asked the township to designate April as PA 811 Safe Digging Month; Robert Bushor moved, Jim Howard seconded, all voted aye, motion passed.
Tomorrow is the DCED grant seminar in Smethport. Brandie cannot attend but noted the event would help Grove Township build connections for grants.
Brandie suggested changing the clean-up date from May 2nd because of the Fireman’s Sportsman Bash, but the group decided to keep it on the 2nd.
ROADMASTER REPORT
There isn’t much to report. Robert Bushor mentioned that the pipe on Crestline, which previously undermined Clark’s property, is causing problems once more and will require further repairs. Dale Wood noted that the intersection of Crestline and Ball Road could benefit from some stone.
PARK REPORT
Easter egg hunt will be April 4th, Brandie asked the guys to turn the water on sometime before then so she can clean and so the bathrooms are functionable the day of the hunt.
BUSINESS
The truck repair estimates have been received, and the check for $10,701.48 has been mailed to us for the necessary repairs. Our deductible is $250.00.
Jim Howard has been researching alternative trash dumpster companies to compare prices; however, he has encountered difficulties as most providers consider our location too remote for their services.
Jim asked if the garage doors are working, Melvin explained they are not working properly still and they are waiting for Jim to come back from Florida to get the company to fix them.
Public Comment
Dale Wood asked about Bucktail Excavating’s payment; Brandie confirmed it was for anti-skid. Dale inquired if both Friday’s Gas and Oil checks were for propane—Brandie clarified both were. Dale also asked who inspected Jericho Road’s contractor work; Melvin believed Todd from the Conservation Office handled it, as they funded the project.
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to pay bills as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Next regular meeting will be held on April 8,2026, starting at 5:00 at Grove Township building.
