GROVE TOWNSHIP MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
February 8, 2023
Chairman Robert Bushor called the Wednesday February 8, 2023, meeting to order in the Grove Township Bldg. at 5:00 pm,
Present were, Robert Bushor, Melvin Kehl, and Brandie Sherry Frank Ross via phone call.
Absent:
Visitors: Mike Pavlis, Jon Pavlis, Benj Bennett, Dale Wood
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:
READING OF THE MINUTES of January Meeting minutes
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to accept the minutes as presented.
All presents were in favor and the motion passed
FINANCIAL REPORT FOR January
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Frank Ross to accept the financial reports as presented.
All presents were in favor and the motion passed
SECRETARY REPORT:
I will be out of town from February 11-18th, I will have everything done before I leave. If I have time sheets in early, I will get payroll done before I leave other wise it will be a week late.
ROADMASTER REPORT:
Not much to report. There is plenty of material left for the year, and there has been some ice and snow but is has been taken care of and no complaints about the road conditions. Started to get the blocks for the bridge, and the bridge should be here in the spring. There will be three pieces to the bridge, and they will have a crane to set the bridge.
BUSINESS:
Do we want to keep the Mac Truck, only Frank and Butch have CDL’s and all the work that the larger truck was bought for. The idea would be to get another smaller truck, so we have a back up truck.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Jon and Mike Pavlis attended our meeting to ask the Township to support their request to change Upper Jerry Run to Floyd Run due to their family history in the area. The process is to send an application to the Federal Government and wait for the answer.
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to support the Pavlis’s asking the Federal Government to change the Upper Jerry Run to Floyd Run.
All present were in favor and the motion passed
Dale Woods wanted to know why we would be selling the Mac truck when it was a cash cow last year.
Pay Bills as Presented:
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to pay bills as presented.
All present in favor and motion passed
Other reports:
Next meeting will be held on March 8, 2023, at 5:00pm at the Grove Township building.
