GROVE TOWNSHIP MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
September 14, 2022
Chairman Robert Bushor called the Wednesday September 14, 2022, meeting to order in the Grove Township Bldg. at 5:00 pm,
Present were, Robert Bushor, Melvin Kehl, and Brandie Sherry
Absent: Frank Ross
Visitors: Dale Wood
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:
READING OF THE MINUTES of August Meeting minutes
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to accept the minutes as presented.
All presents were in favor and the motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT FOR August
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to accept the financial reports as presented.
All presents were in favor and the motion carried.
SECRETARY REPORT:
The second half of the ARAP money has been deposited into the general account, and I have transferred it over to the PLIGT account.
The Cameron County ambulance service sent a letter requestion a donation from our Act 13 money to help with their expenses. Melvin Kehl stated that the ambulance service will not come past Stan Mann’s farm on Route 120, therefore they so not provide service to Grove Township. Brandie will send them a letter explaining this and if they start providing Grove Township service then we will donate.
ROADMASTER REPORT:
Start working on 3 Runs Road/Sand rock
There was trees and limbs on Jerry Run due to the wind storms, they have all been cleaned up.
The bridge is being built for Jerry Run that will go over Wykoff Run, the power company will relocate a pole and wires so the bridge can be set
BUSINESS:
Carol Delp sent a resignation letter stating she is resigning from her auditor position due to the conflict with her family.
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to accept Carol Delp’s resignation.
All present were in favor and the motion carried.
A new person will have to be appointed to the Vacancy Board due to the passing of Cy Hardinger.
Crestline must have an electric pole installed for power to the new flow meter, PA one call has cleared the dig site, and there is a work number from the electric company. Letters have been sent to the Crestline property owners to send in their portion of the cost for the flow meter.
No response from the second letter that was sent to Chad Delp concerning the scrap metal collection. Robert Bushor is going to personally ask Chad to take down the signs, and if that doesn’t work Robert stated that the Township will put no trespassing signs along the road in our right of way to prevent people from using the property on that side of the road. A fine may also be given.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Dale Wood inquired if any of our equipment had been used for work at another Township. THe Mac Truck had been used in both Gibson and Benezette. Brandie gave him a copy of the invoices that show the hours and dates.
Pay Bills as Presented:
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to pay bills as presented.
All present in favor and motion carried.
Other reports:
Next meeting will be held on October 12, at 5:00pm at the Grove Township building.
