SECRETARY REPORT:

We received a thank you card from the Driftwood Senior Center, they also wanted to make sure it was okay to put it in the newspaper a thank you to us for the donation.  Nobody had a problem with that.

Penn Dot sent us an email concerning the public placing signs in the Penn Dot right away on the roads, I printed the information out and posted it on our public bulletin board.

ROADMASTER REPORT:

The missing signs have been replaced.

The ditches on Crestline to Ball Road were worked one.  Dale commented that they did a good job, and that he finished raking it out.

There were trees that were cleaned out for contractors on Jerry Run Road.

BUSINESS:

A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Melvin Kehl to advertise for bids for the design, fabrication, delivery and erection of one prefabricated steel bridge superstructure with timber deck system, to replace the bridge over Wykoff Run on Jerry Run Road.  The sealed bids will be opened at the August 10, 2022, meeting.

All presents were in favor and motion carried.

It was mentioned that Chad Delp has a sign up that states people can dump scrap metal on the property that adjoins the Fire Department parking lot.  It will be allowed as long as he keeps it cleaned up and it doesn’t overflow into the parking area.

Mike Saline has been mowing with the township mower and we have received several comments on how nice it is looking.  Mike has been hired as a fill in laborer, he is currently doing the mowing but will also do anything else that is needed.  He filled in for Emmerson once.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

Dale Wood asked if the position that Mike has been hired for was advertised.  The Council stated no it hadn’t been, but Mike had put an application in over the winter.  Dale wanted to know when the motion was made to bid on the millings that we bought.  He feels motions are not being put in the minutes.

Dale wants a cost break down for the plowing that was done for Driftwood Bourgh.  The Supervisors stated that the bid was for $65.00 hour plus materials.  He asked if we should charge more sub-contracting.
