The County Commissioners will be holding their monthly meeting on June 13, starting at 10:00 at the Driftwood Senior Center.
ROADMASTER REPORT
The signs are here for the bridges, and hopefully they will get them up next week.
Motion made to call the roadside boom mowing gentleman by Robert Bushor and seconded by Jim Howard.
All in favor, aye, passed
There was a pipe put in where the 4 wheelers access the large field, there is currently only dirt on top of it so the Township will wait until it rains to see how much of a muddy mess is made on the road. Melvin may have to put a couple of scoops of small stone on it to help reduce the mud.
Melvin was approached by some residents that they would like to see the blinking speed limit signs put up that show your speed in Sinnamahoning due to how fast everyone drives through town. Brandie will contact Daren to see what we need to do.
The crack sealing has been tabled, Brandie has been in contact with HRI and they are supposed to be sending someone to look at the roads and give us a quote.
BUSINESS
Jim Howard asked the other Supervisors if they had received a call from someone in PennDOT over the winter concerning the agreement that was made between Grove Township and PennDOT for the exchange of road millings for the metal bridge decking that was removed up Jerry Run Road, because they had called him while he was in Floridia
Brandie mentioned that someone had called and talked to her from PennDOT, but she had no knowledge of the agreement, so she wasn’t able to answer their questions.
Brandie is going to reach out to PennDOT to see if this issue has been solved and see if there is an actual signed agreement.
Jim Howard also asked about Blight letters being sent to Lamberts in Lick Island for not keeping their lawn mowed and the attraction this is for snakes. He also mentioned the camp at Hairy’s View that is falling down mean while they have put in several campers across the road, and the two falling down house up Wykoff Run Rd.
Brandie will get letters out to the owners after she finds out who owns them.
Meliv Kehl reported that Cameron County Ambulance will be serving all of Sinnamahoning now, and it was discussed that if this is true, and they begin running calls then the Township will donate some money to them to help with expenses.
