GROVE TOWNSHIP MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
December 8, 2021
Chairman Robert Bushor called the Wednesday, November 10, 2021, meeting to order in the Grove Township Bldg. at 5:00pm,
Present were, Robert Bushor, Frank Ross, Brandie Sherry via conference call Walter Sipe
Absent: none
Visitors: Melvin Kehl
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: none
READING OF THE MINUTES of November Meeting
A motion was made by Walter Sipe and seconded by Frank Ross to accept the minutes as presented.
All presents were in favor and the motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT FOR November
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Walter Sipe to accept the financial reports as presented.
All presents were in favor and the motion carried.
SECRETARY REPORT:
ROADMASTER REPORT:
Had a couple times when winter road maintenance was done.
Some regular equipment upkeep has been done.
There is no weight limit on the three new bridges, so all the signs can be taken down.
BUSINESS:
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Frank Ross to accept the 2022 budget.
All presents were in favor and motion was carried.
Russ Braun sent a letter out explaining that he was raising the cost of septic permits and repair permits by $25.00, therefore a new septic permit would cost $625.00, and a repair permit will cost $275.00. Brandie explained that our rates are set the same as Russ Braun and the township makes no money from the septic permits.
A motion was made by Walter Sipe and seconded by Frank Ross to set the Township’s price for septic permits to be the same as Russ Braun with a $25.00 increase.
All presents were in favor and the motion carried.
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Frank Ross to give Emerson, Butch and Brandie a $100.00 Christmas bonus.
All presents were in favor and the motion carried.
Brandie reported that Driftwood Borough was not able to find a contractor to do winter maintenance, so they are asking if Grove Township would be interested in doing the winter maintenance.
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Frank Ross to do winter maintenance for Driftwood Borough at a rate of $65.00 an hour.
Walter Sipe declines to vote on this manner. Frank and Robert both voted yes to maintain Driftwood’s roads.

Pay Bills as Presented:
A motion was made by Robert Bushor and seconded by Frank Ross to pay bills as presented.
All present in favor and motion carried.

Reorganization meeting will be held January 3, 2022, at 5:00 pm with the regular meeting to follow.
